Empowering the Next Generation

WHAT WE DO
PLACING EMPHASIS ON POTENTIAL
Assura Support is a 16+ Semi-Independent Accommodation provider, offering short to long term residential and transitional housing placements for young people from the age of 16. We accept referrals from Local Authorities across the UK. We accommodate all genders and young people with behavioural and emotional challenges.
Our focus is providing supported accommodation for vulnerable young people who are leaving care to give them the tools they need to live independently and ultimately access their own tenancy by the age of 18.
We recognise that we cannot have a uniformed approach towards each individual, as our young people often come from diverse backgrounds and have needs that reflect this.

Person centred support is at the heart of our service. We believe in empowering our residents to make their own decisions, helping them to take control of their own lives. We provide a range of activities and events to encourage social inclusion and to help our residents gain life skills.

Our Service

ACCOMODATION
Our young people will be provided with shared accommodation in a 24/7 staffed home.

Each young person will have their own bedroom and shared use of communal areas.
We carefully select our homes to be inviting and homely to create a safe and nurturing environment.
Our placements are located in residential areas with great transport links, activities and access to local colleges.
SUPPORT
We use a variety of methods to support young people to reach their highest potential.

We use a person centred approach, incorporating life coaching to find out what it is important to the individual and collaborate to plan their support.

This can be in the form of keywork sessions, covering different aspects of independent skills such as: health, housekeeping, education, employment, finance and cooking.
STAFF
Our homes are staffed 24/7 by qualified and experienced support workers.

Each team member undergoes a thorough induction process and job specific training before their first shift. New starters must also spend time shadowing a more experienced member of staff.

Staff have regular supervisions to ensure they are working to their best ability and identify any areas of additional support.
